This creative writing lesson focuses on describing a spooky character. The lesson begins with a simile starter activity which can be completed as a class or in groups. It also then includes a follow up similes worksheet that learners could complete independently. The resource then focuses on how we can describe a character by their: appearance behaviour/actions personality/attitudes The resource includes a modelled passage about a vampire where learners can identify what they learn about the character and sort it into the three categories. Again this can be completed as a whole class or in groups or there is a follow up worksheet that could be completed independently.
